Why are credits important on RaiseMe?
Colleges require that students have 15 credits on their Portfolio by the time they are submitted as seniors - even if the submission deadline is August or September before senior year is underway.
How do I receive the full credit for each course?
You'll need to enter all the potential grades for a course to get full credit. For example, if you've entered in only Semester 1 and not Semester 2 yet, you'll only get 1/2 credit until everything is completed.
Read this article for details on making sure you're getting full credit!
Where do I enter my credits for a course?
See this article to learn how to indicate credits for a course when you're filling out your Portfolio, and make sure you enter the grading system correctly as well. For example, if you're going to only get a final grade for the course, be sure to adjust the grading system or you won't get full credit for as long as the system expects you to enter more grades.
I am graduating early. How do I get my 15 credits?
If you are graduating a year early (after 11th grade) then you may include classes taken in 8th grade as long as they were taken for high school credit and will appear on your transcript. Do not include regular middle school courses.
What if I took classes in middle school for high school credit?
If you are a typical 9th-12th grade student, you may not enter any class, activity, etc. that took place before your freshman year!
