RaiseMe validates Portfolio information in a few ways.
The honor code all students go through during sign-up states that if any of their information is found to be inaccurate, they stand to lose all of their micro-scholarships. Through our research, we’ve found that students' self-reported information is 95-97% accurate.
All college partners spot-check the student's micro-scholarship submission against their formal application, and if they discover any discrepancies, they are not required to fulfill any of that student's micro-scholarship commitments.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Endorsements have been discontinued as a feature. They are no longer required by any of our college partners, and the discontinuation will not have a negative effect on any students.
It used to be the case that students could request that a teacher or mentor endorse their Portfolio and verify that it was accurate. That feature is no longer on the site, nor is it required for a student to use RaiseMe or earn micro-scholarships.
