What does a student need to do to ensure they will be awarded their micro-scholarships?

Eligibility Requirements and Deadlines

To find the eligibility requirements and deadlines for each college partner, students must go to the institution's College page and click the "Requirements" tab. Be sure to check this place for every college you plan on applying to as the earning deadlines may differ! Transfer college students will find the earning deadline on the "Scholarships" tab and then "Scholarship Requirements".

Earning Deadline and Application Deadline 

The Earning Deadline is the day that a student's earnings will be locked in and a college will be sent the proper information for all seniors who are Following them or all college students with the intended transfer term and year for that particular earning deadline. High school and college students must Follow a college by the earning deadline, so RaiseMe can submit them automatically. High school seniors may choose to submit their portfolio prior to the earning deadline. For transfer college students there is currently no manual option for self-submitting their portfolio data.

Colleges can also set their own deadlines by which a student needs to have applied for admission. This may not be the same as their earning deadline. For example, their earning deadline on RaiseMe might be March 1st, but a student needs to have applied to the college by December 1st in order to be eligible. Be sure to check the application deadline on each college's profile page.

Credits and GPA

For high school students, all college partners require that students must have at least 15 credits in their Portfolio to be submitted. However, many colleges have differing GPA requirements. For example, they may require that a student has 15 credits in their Portfolio and a GPA of 3.0. Another college might only require a GPA of 2.5 with 15 credits in their Portfolio. 

Seniors must have met those requirements on the day of the earning deadline for each college. Colleges require 15 credits, and if a senior doesn't have 15 credits by the deadline of a college, they will not be submitted to that college. 

For transfer college students, each transfer partner determines both the number of credits required and the minimum GPA.
