Why is Following so important?
By Following a college, the student indicates that they would like to earn micro-scholarships from that college, learn more about them, and allow the college to learn more about them. They would be able to see what potential micro-scholarship dollars they would earn based on the achievements in their Portfolio.
Colleges have earning deadlines - a date when all senior Portfolios are submitted to that college. A student must be Following a college to be submitted and locked into their micro-scholarship earnings to the college. If a student was earning, and then unfollowed a college, they will not be submitted to that institution because they are no longer Following them. Learn more about Earning Deadlines here.
