Dual Enrollment/College Level Courses

Taking a college-level course while in high school is often referred to as “Dual Enrollment.”

Dual Enrollment enables high school students (usually 10th, 11th and 12th graders) to enroll in college courses for credit prior to high school graduation. College credits earned through Dual Enrollment may be applied towards high school and college through programs that are different at each college and within each state. Make sure to approve your plans for taking a “Dual Enrollment” course with your high school before you begin the course.

How to add a Dual Enrollment class to your Portfolio

1. Click to add a course.
2. Select Dual Enrollment and slowly type in the name of the college to find it - if you can't find it easily, try the tips listed here for finding a high school, because the methods are the same. You may also want to type in the name of the larger group of schools if a community college falls under an umbrella organization. When it appears, select the school.
3. Once you select the college, the type of the course is automatically changed to "College Level" and you can fill out the remaining information.
