Can I enter partial grades for classes?

It's absolutely crucial to fill out your Portfolio correctly to get enough credits and earn more micro-scholarships.

I've entered plenty of classes but my credits aren't adding up. Why?

You need to make sure you entered all the grades for each box on a course. In order for a class to fully count, all the grades that our system is expecting must be present.

You need to make sure there are no empty "boxes" on your Portfolio. To get rid of them, click the "edit course" pencil icon and select "no grade" from the drop-down menu. 

Can I enter grades as I get them before the class is over?

Yes! You can earn partial credit and partial micro-scholarships for the grades you get even before a class is complete.

For example, let's say you have 4 quarters and a final grade for a class, but you've just gotten your quarterly report card:

• Partial micro-scholarship: A college that offers $400 for an A grade will now award you $100 for that grade.
• Partial credit: Since that class is 1 credit, you will now get .25 credits on RaiseMe for this grade.

As you enter more grades, you'll get the appropriate credits and micro-scholarships. 

At the end of the class, when you receive your final grade, you should enter it. You'll be awarded a micro-scholarship either for the final grade OR the total of the partial micro-scholarships you got for your quarterly grades, whichever is larger. 

See this example, where you'd earn $600 for the total rather than the $400 for the final B grade. Our system will automatically figure out which is greater, so just enter your grades knowing that you'll get the maximum amount!
