Filling out a Portfolio on RaiseMe is just one step towards earning Micro-Scholarships.
Be 100% sure to check each of the following things to ensure that you'll be awarded the expected Micro-Scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements and Deadlines
To find the eligibility requirements and deadlines for each college partner, go to their College page and click "Requirements." Be sure to check this place for every college you plan on applying to as they may differ!
Earning Deadline
This is the day that your earnings will be locked in and a college will be sent the proper information for all seniors who are Following them. A senior student must Follow a college by the earning deadline, so RaiseMe can submit them automatically. Students who wish to submit their RaiseMe information prior to the submission deadline may do so manually. All other students will be automatically submitted. Learn more here.
All other eligibility requirements must also be met by this date. Read below, or check out this article about How to Submit.
Credits and GPA
RaiseMe partners have requirements for credits and GPA. All RaiseMe partners require that students have a minimum of 15 credits entered in their portfolio to be submitted and meet their minimum GPA. For example, a partner college may require that a student has 15 credits on their Portfolio and a GPA of 3.0. Another college might only require a GPA of 2.5. Learn about how we calculate GPA here.
Seniors must have met those requirements on the day of the earning deadline for each college. Colleges require 15 credits, and if a senior doesn't have 15 credits by the deadline of a college, they will not be submitted to that college.
Colleges can also set their own deadlines by which a student needs to have applied for admission. This is not the same as their earning deadline. For example, their earning deadline on RaiseMe might be March 1st, but a student needs to have applied to the college by December 1st in order to be eligible. Be sure to check the application deadline on each college's profile page.
Let RaiseMe know your application status (i.e., Planning to Apply, Applied, Accepted, Planning to Enroll, Enrolled) on your Portfolio by clicking the three dots on your Followed colleges list. This way, we can be sure to send you relevant deadline reminders.
You can also update your planning to apply status directly on the college page by selecting "Select Application Status"
Other Eligibility Requirements
From any college profile that offers Micro-Scholarships, simply Follow the school and click "Requirements" to see the requirements. Some are very unique, so it's crucial that students check here early on (ideally, summer before their senior year) to make sure they're prepared to meet all the necessary deadlines and requirements. Other eligibility requirements may include completing the FAFSA and/or CSS profile.
