Filling out a Portfolio on RaiseMe is just one step towards earning Micro-Scholarships.
Be 100% sure to check each of the following things to ensure that you'll be awarded the expected Micro-Scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements and Deadlines
To find the eligibility requirements and deadlines for each 4-year college partner, go to their RaiseMe profile page and click the "Scholarships" tab. Then click on the “Scholarship Requirements” section. Be sure to check this for every 4-year college offering you scholarships that you plan to apply to.
Earning Deadline
This is the day that your earnings will be locked in and a 4-year college will be sent the proper information for all transfers who are following them. On the earning deadline, you must meet the program's minimum number of credits, GPA, and other eligibility requirements to be submitted. More details below.
You must Follow a 4-year college by the earning deadline for your planned transfer term, so RaiseMe can submit your earnings automatically. There is no manual option for submitting data. Learn more here.
All other eligibility requirements must also be met by this date. Read below, or check out this article about How to Submit.
Credit Hours and GPA
All universities have requirements for GPA and completed credit hours. For example, a 4-year college may require that a student has added 45 credit hours to their Portfolio and maintained a GPA of 3.0 during community college. Another 4-year college might only require a GPA of 2.5.
Students must have met a 4-year college’s requirements on the day of that 4-year college’s earning deadline for that student’s planned transfer term. If you do not have enough credit hours added to your Portfolio, or if you do not meet the minimum GPA, your earnings will not be submitted to that 4-year college.
Application Deadlines
Universities on RaiseMe also set their own deadlines by which a student needs to have applied for admission. This is not the same as their earning deadline. For example, a 4-year college’s earning deadline for Spring transfers on RaiseMe might be November 1st, but a student needs to have applied to the 4-year college by October 1st in order to be eligible. Be sure to check the application deadline for your planned transfer term on each 4-year college's profile page and confirm on their website.
Other Eligibility Requirements
From any 4-year college profile that offers Micro-Scholarships, click "Scholarships" and then click “Scholarship Requirements" to see all eligibility requirements. It's crucial that students check here early on to make sure they're prepared to meet all the necessary deadlines and requirements for a 4-year college.
